NEW DELHI: Students pursuing an M.Tech in Defense Technology will have access to the laboratories of the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) to conduct research.
In addition to DRDO labs, they will be offered access to power supplies and defense industries to conduct research and development, according to a new government plan to increase manpower in the defense technology space.
This will apply to all students pursuing a M.Tech Specialized Program approved by the DRDO and the Technical Education Regulator All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). In addition to student access to DRDO and PSU defense laboratories, any institute or university that decides to offer this will be eligible for certain grants.

DRDO believes the initiative will create a large pool of talented labor for the defense sector.
