Shirley posey, an 11e Imhotep Institute’s High School charter level biology teacher and one of the laureates, has been recognized as the 2020 Axalta All-Pro Teacher of the Year. Each of the teachers received a donation for continuing education in STEM at his school, four tickets to an upcoming Eagles game, a custom Eagles jersey and football and was automatically nominated for the 2020 Axalta All-Pro Teacher of the Year.

Posey was appointed by a fellow teacher, Trichita Covington, who said: âShirley’s efforts have helped increase her students’ biology scores on Keystone exams and motivated them to become innovative thinkers by using their imaginations to apply the information they learned in their textbooks. She transformed her biology classroom into a learning space that produces the next generation of scientists and engineers. As the 2020 Axalta All-Pro Teacher of the Year, Posey will receive additional funding and an Eagles-themed cheer gathering to be held for the entire school, if applicable.
