UPSC Recruitment 2022: Apply for Assistant Engineer, Lecturer and Other Positions

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting applications for Assistant Engineer and other positions for the year 2022. Interested candidates can apply through the official website of UPSC – upsc.gov.in. Applicants have until April 28, 2022 to apply for notified vacancies.

Vacancy Details and Eligibility Criteria

Assistant Engineer (NQA): According to the announcement posted by UPSC on the official website, there are five vacancies for Assistant Engineer – (NQA) – Electrical in Directorate of Quality Assurance (Naval), (DGQA), Department of Defense Production, Ministry of Defence. This position will be permanent and suitable for applicants in the Benchmark Persons with Disabilities (PwBD) category. The maximum age limit is 30 years.

Candidates should have an engineering degree in the disciplines of electrical or electronics and two years of practical experience in quality assurance / quality control / production / manufacturing and testing of engineering equipment, including knowledge various standards and their interpretation.

— Junior Technical Officer: There are two vacancies for the position of Junior Technical Officer, Integrated Headquarters (Navy), Directorate of Civilian Personnel, Ministry of Defence. This position will be permanent and is suitable for candidates belonging to the PwBD category. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in mechanics or electricity or electronics and communication or marine or naval architecture or industrial engineering from a recognized university or institute. Three years of professional experience in the relevant field of engineering, viz. Mechanical or electrical or electronics and communication or marine or naval architecture or industrial engineering is compulsory.

— Lecturer (Chinese): There is a vacancy for the position of Lecturer (Chinese) at the School of Foreign Languages ​​(SFL), New Delhi, Directorate of Personnel, Ministry of Defence, for which the maximum age limit is 35 years. A master’s degree in Chinese language from a recognized university or institution is required, as well as one year of experience in teaching or translating from Chinese language to English or Hindi or vice versa.

— Sub-director (Fishing port): There is a vacancy for the position of Deputy Director (Fishing Port), Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy. Applicants should not be over 35 years of age and should hold a degree in civil engineering from a recognized university or institute. They should also have three years of harbor or port engineering experience in central government or state government or a public sector company or port trust or companies or agencies registered private construction companies.

— Deputy Director of the IT and System Division: A vacancy for the position of Deputy Director of the IT and System Division of the National Criminal Records Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is also open. Applicants should not be over 40 for this permanent position.

— Deputy Director (Engineering): The latest vacancy is for the post of Deputy Director (Engineering) of the Ministry of Ports, Navigation and Waterways. Applicants should not be over 30 years of age and should hold a degree in civil engineering or mechanical engineering from a recognized university or institute.
